Angelo "Angie" Stephen Calabrese, 77, a lifetime resident of Annapolis, died May 31 at Anne Arundel Medical Center from leukemia. Mr. Calabrese was born October 9, 1932 in Annapolis to the late Andrea and Angelina Calabrese. He graduated from Annapolis High School where he was an avid football player and track team athlete. He was self-employed at Angie's Barbershop for 62 years and served in the U.S. Navy as a Petty Officer from 1950-1954.
He was a member of St. Mary's Church, Elks Club BPOE 622, D&D Hunt Club and Sons of Italy. He enjoyed hunting, crabbing, gardening, Orioles baseball games and all sports. He is survived by his wife, Anna Calabrese of Annapolis; two sons, Jerry of Annapolis and Dennis of Stevensville; three daughters, Lisa Smith of Denton, Belinda Connor of Annapolis and Gina Calabrese of Annapolis; two brothers, John of Annapolis and Frank of Stevensville; one sister, Rose Sears of Annapolis; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
