George Ralph Strohl

Naval Academy class of 1981. I realize it's a year since his passing, but what a wonderful man and outstanding teacher. I did everytyhing I could to get into his classes :)

I am so sorry to learn of Dr. Strohl's passing.

Unfortunately I won't be able to attend either the visitation or the funeral service because my mom will have surgery in Baltimore on Thursday. (The amazing thing is that Mom lives at Bay Woods also.) It would have been nice to catch up even under these sad circumstances.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. May fond memories sustain you during this difficult time.

It was with great sorrow that I learned of Ralph's passing. As you know Ralph and I started teaching at the US Naval Academy at the same time, 1947, and have been friends since then. The thousands of pleasant memories you have of him will help at this time.

My sincere condolences to the family of the man who was by far, my favorite and most memorable professor in my four years at USNA from 1969 to 1973. I recall taking the new "Calculus with Computers" course for three semesters under Professor Strohl. It was a fantastic class and I learned so much. He was extremely helpful and made himself available for extra instruction whenever I needed it.

Years later, I met Professor Strohl's nephew Fred at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory and was able to keep up on how Professor Strohl was doing. He was a treasure at our nation's finest learning institution.

If so we were together in 67-68
Went on R&R together to Hawaii in 68
